HELP PILLAR

FOOD PANTRY

The Harmony Food Pantry continues to meet the demand that we have experienced during this pandemic and the economic crisis that has followed. Assist the Food Pantry team in preparing and distributing weekly food boxes to the community.

Volunteer Interest:

  • Food Pantry Service – Serve clients by registering their visit, loading vehicles, packaging food produce, refrigerated and/or freezer items, directing traffic or performing other essential duties to operate a safe and efficient food pantry. Box Packing may also be done on these days.
  • Truck Unloading – Assist with weekly restocking of food pantry by unloading the truck and placing inventory in designated areas. Some inventory and produce sorting.
  • Box Packing – Make shelf-stable food boxes. 
  • Monthly Inventory – Assist with the monthly counting of inventory for reporting purposes.

Volunteer Hours: 

Monday: 1:30pm-6:00pm  

Tuesday: 10:00am-1:00 pm or 3:30pm-6:30pm  

Thursday: 9:30am-2:00pm

**Once you complete the signup form below no additional action is needed...Simply show up at the Food Pantry on the day that you prefer to serve.

Volunteer Interests:

  • Admin/Receptionist- Assist Housing Team with answering the phone, checking voicemails, and assisting walk-in clients. (In Person)

Volunteer Hours: 

Monday -  Thursday: 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM

COUNSELING CENTER

Volunteer Interests:

  • Special Events-Seasonal events (In Person)
  • Support Group Assistant -Coordinate survey data collection, attendance rooster, send out email and telephone reminders, support group facilitators (Virtual)

CAREER PATHWAY

Harmony CDC offers a 6-week certification program to help participants identify their job challenges while working in partnership with community professionals, business owners, and others to improve their current employment and financial status.

FINANCIAL PATHWAY

The Harmony Financial Pathway Program offers a 7-week certification program where participants receive professional coaching assistance with money management, budgeting, reducing debt, establishing and improving credit, connecting to safe and affordable banking services, building savings, and referrals to other services and organizations.

CRIMINAL JUSTICE OUTREACH

Volunteers will work with at-hope youth that resides in the community and juvenile facilities. They will provide mentorship and training in life skills, communication, goal setting, and career exploration. This training will occur in person and virtually.

INTERNATIONAL OUTREACH

Volunteers will work with international ministry partners in several countries with the goal of equipping them to provide much-needed spiritual and economic resources to the people within their communities.

  • World Navigators

 

PATHWAY NAVIGATOR

Navigators will assist with the Career Pathway, Financial Pathway, Housing Pathway, Health & Wellness Pathway, or a combination of the listed paths. Responsibilities include coaching and guiding individuals through one or more pathways through goal-setting and progress review. Connect with clients for 15-30 minutes at least two times but not more than four times each month, for a minimum of one year.
